Booking & payment
Bookings are confirmed by full payment online via Stripe at the time of booking. We don't take deposits or chase balances on the day. Prices include GST.
Cancellation
Full refund up to 14 days before your event. Inside 14 days, we'll reschedule to any available date within 12 months at no extra cost. If we (Enchanted Entertainment) need to cancel for reasons within our control, we refund 100%.
What we'll do
Arrive 15 minutes before the booked start time in costume. Deliver the package as described. Stay in character for the duration. Bring everything listed in your package. Treat your guests, venue and home with care.
What we ask of you
A safe space free of obvious hazards. A power point if music is part of the package. Reasonable parking access. Adult supervision (we're not a babysitting service). Honesty about allergies, special needs and any conduct concerns about specific guests.
Conduct
We reserve the right to end a booking early without refund if our performer is subjected to abuse, sexual harassment, intoxication or threatening behaviour from any adult at the event. We've never had to use this clause and we don't expect to.
Characters & copyright disclaimer
All costumed characters are generic and inspired creations, and are not affiliated, licensed or associated with any corporation or trademark.
It is not our intention to violate any copyright laws. The characters that we offer are not name-brand-copyrighted characters; Enchanted Entertainment costumed characters are named of our own creation. Any resemblance to nationally-known copyrighted characters is strictly coincidental.
Should you have the need for a licensed copyrighted mascot or character at your event, we encourage you to contact the company or copyright holder for your specific targeted character. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact us.
We do not offer, and do not represent, any licensed or copyrighted characters. Songs performed during private parties are limited to original or public-domain compositions.
Photography
You may take photos at your private event. By default, we ask permission before posting any photo to our social channels, and never post without consent. Our performers may decline being photographed without their costume on.
Liability
Our liability for any single event is capped at the value of the booking, except where NZ Consumer Guarantees Act provisions apply.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, email [email protected] first. We'll always try to make it right. If we can't agree, NZ Disputes Tribunal applies; jurisdiction Wellington.
Updates
We'll email anyone with an active booking if these terms change meaningfully. Otherwise the "last updated" date above is your reference.
